it has already been days since the end of promos,
the monster which many seniors told me to go head on with it
regardless of how tough and challenging. amazing huh?
now there still 2 major things left. Chinese As and PW OP.
seriously, i'm wowing at how time just zoomed pass me, and has reached TODAY!
just a few more hurdles! so push on ok! JIAYOU EVERYONE :)
in no time, we will be at ECP building sandcastles! :P

My mum asked me, "you feel disappointed is it?"
i went, "yes a little."
i would love to say no, not at all. but i guess disappointment always surfaces
when one does not do up to expectations. In a way, disappointment seems like a
butterfly.

If you treat it positively with a smile, it will seem beautiful
and strong to you. With wings which look so weak, yet they are able to fly so freely. You would like it to be around you, and you will probably be motivated by its character.

If you treat negatively, like it is a bug, you would want to
chase it away. The more you try to chase it away, the larger the fear of it coming
back.

Now, at this point of my life, i seem to be helplessly trying to climb out of
a bottomless pit. It is tiring and painful to always fall after putting in effort.
So now comes my choice,
Do i succumb to the fatigue and pain and give up?
Do i grit my teeth and let the pain gradually leave me whie i continue this climb?

I told my mum i would move on.
and i really will move on, because i know remain standing at the position which
i did not do up to expectations would just leave me further and further away from
my dream.

So i'll push on. If i have give up some things which i cherish a lot to put my
academic back on track, i would have to pull up the courage to do so.
And i know i can, if i believe in myself.

A little part of me does fear the stares by people around me.
And if i were to say this is human nature, i guess many would say that's just
another excuse. Well, true, i'm someone who fears the talk of the others.
I will learn to grow out this, slowly. And mummy always tell me,
"you live your life for yourself. So why should care about how others view you?"
yes indeed :)

if i have chance to live my life again, i would still live it the same way.
just the way God has arranged it to be. I'm blessed.

A day which we have the choice to spend it meaningfully

yet it is A day which will never come again
yet it is A day which can never be repeated

hahah! upon typing this, i realised that actually everyday is a day which will only
come ONCE in our lifetime, and we can never turn back time or have a second chance
to spend a day that has already passed. It tells me something, time is also ticking
and moving and passing. It doesn't wait for me, for you, for anyone, it doesn't.
It goes on at its own pace. So if i pause while time still moves, i am slowing
down, i will be lagging behind. I would then have to run faster than normal
to catch up with those who continued to be on the same pace as time. Or in other
words, those who were consistent.

hmm :D
we've all got to become good friends with time.
whether it is through smacking the horse butt or genuinely befriending it.
we got to flow with it and not lag behind or go against it.
It's challenging man. A skill :D

I looked through all my photos on facebook. and could not help but laugh
and smile at those funny times in secondary school.
Time flies. Fasttt :D While there are many things we have to learn to let go,

Lionel showed us a video which featured Dewitt Jones,
a National Geographic Photographer for more than 20 years.
It was about what he has learnt while taking photographs of people,
mother nature, and this world.

He pointed out a few things which really made a lot of sense to me. I start to question myself too.
His perspective of viewing the world positively and making time out of limited time tells me that
i can too, persevere despite undesirable circumstances.

Vision controls Perception. & Perception becomes reality.
I never really understood the importance of having a vision in my life.
However, i've learnt today that having a vision, would give you a goal.
It can act as a reminder to myself, that end the of the day, i would like to be
such a person. Hence, push on, Zhi Ting.

And then the question comes, "Can i trust my own values and vision enough to step
out of my edge?"
it takes courage, faith. And as humans, sometimes all these motivation just
do not appear. That's why i become skeptical of my own abilities, right?

Dewitt Jones said, "No matter how desperate we are, as long as there is a glimmer
of hope, we can keep on going". This is perseverance. This is persistence. This is not giving up.
This is hoping. During this process, it's not easy, there would be ups and downs, happy and sad moments.
And how are we going to deal with all these?

"By celebrating the best, that allows us to fall in love with it. By celebrating the best, we have the energy
to fix what's wrong."
I really really think this is veryyyyyyyyyyy impactful. It's a wonder that by putting such simple, individual
words together, they can form something so meaningful and encouraging :D

4) Ah Bin korkor and family came over to Ahma house today! AND I MET RYAN AND
BRYANNE! He's still really really cute and i loved the way he sat soo
comfortably on the POOH Chair! :D
5) Wai Po cooked CURRY CHICKEN! :D
6) I ate KU CHAI KUEH!!!!! :D:D:D
7) Mummy was really really kind and nice to bring me to the doctor despite it
being quite late in the night
8) Mummy and me got lost among the terrace houses in Toh tuck area. We followed a
Police Car and in the end, both cars ended up in a DEAD END. It was hilarious :D
9) I ate KOREAN FOOD and Auntie Kim's Korean Restaurant! the KIMCHI SOUP
is really the best i've tasted and the seafood pancake was AWESOMEAWESOMEAWESOME!!

I really admire those people who have a goal in mind, a dream they would like to work towards to, and at the end of the day, achieve. They are so certain and so motivated to work towards that destination.:D
And I, got to learn from them. In many school camps, workshops, trainers always
tell us to do goal settings and be forward looking.
From all these experiences, it is expected for us to learn and apply the skills
to our own lives, and set our own goals. but somehow, i do not know if i am a stone,
rock, or noob, but i cannot seem to find The Thing i really want to do in life.

As Minister Lim Swee Say told us during mass civic a few weeks back,
"You can never be sure that your passion would last you for your lifetime, but at any point time, do not do anything half-heartedly, or else you would not go far."
In some sense, i do feel assured by what he said, but that's probably because i
do not know where my passion truly lies in.
It's like a ultra mega powerful pendulum. Swinging up and down soooo vigorously that
it takes really really really really long to stop and reach a stable point.

what do you call this? indecisive? fickle-minded?

After all, everyone would want to do something which he or she loves and enjoy.

My dream is to __________________________!
I really hope oneday, I can fill up the blank above with pride and have the motivation to work towards it.

an awesome class with caring and nice people.
On the outside, they may seem like that type of idon'tcareaboutyoudude-type
of person, but yesterday during maths lesson, i saw the different side of 0810 :D

I was disappointed in myself. definitely. But my friends around me gave me the
power to hold back my tears and push on. Whether it is a pat on the back,
a simple encouragement like "you can do it", or putting in effort to teach a
slowpoke like me, i felt really lucky to have these people around :)
And Mr Wee's "Zhi Ting, okay or not?" phrase is really heartwarming.
okay this sounds a little wrong. but i can see that he really cares for his
students, for us, although we only became his students about 3 weeks ago.

And while doing maths corrections, i could not help but laugh like mad
at Goh Jun Kang's crap and lame jokes. Thanks :)

YM has been untouched for super long! :/ as the week passes, it is like seeing time fly pass across you. Seriously, FLY. every week passes sooo fast! Except during boring parts of the day XD

And Ms Tee just handed out the booklet on the prices and rules&regulations of ALEVEL EXAMINATIONS. totally reminded me of Olevels man. It feels as if olevels were just yesterday, and tomorrow is going to be something more challenging.

We have to face all these right? I do admit my fear. My fear of being unable to cope with my studies and cca, my fear of being unable keep my results consistent, my fear of being unable to do well for alevels, my fear of disappointing my parents.
well, when i have such thoughts popping out, i would tell myself, Zhi ting you can do it you can do it. jiayou jiayou.
but somehow, it doesn't work well all the time.
Overflow of worries huh. seriously, it is not a nice feeling :/

But thinking from another perspective, no one is good in everything. And this fear of mine proves that i'm not good in having enough faith and confidence in myself.
So this shall be the chance to learn to overcome my fears.
it's like stepping into another world now :D
I'm advancing on a new journey of no-return!:D

at this point of time, i realise the importance of courage and bravery.
and i am going to be a brave girl :)

:D Well, today is definitely the ONLY school-day with NO LECTURES at all, in AJC.

Everyone has to make choices in life. Your choice determines the path which you would finally take. I have made wrong choices, and some do give me the opportunity to u-turn again. I do not know where the path i have decided to advance on
would take me to, but i will do my best in what i have set my foot on.

Today i learned something new! :D Once i've decided on something, maintaining
a positive mindset towards it is very important. People around me may say
or do things which would intentionally or unintentionally waver my thoughts.
This is when I have to remind myself about my objective and purpose to why i came to that final decision.
What others say may be right for them, but not neccessarily right for myself.

I laughed so hard when Amos and SUENG told me that they had to pick lots of
cigeratte butts. Their facial expressions were PRICELESS :P
Anyway, I took part in another activity instead of beach cleaning.
We had to create a new cheer for our house, CHEETAH, and a mascot.
Got to many new people toooo! :D heehee! :D
Coincidentally, while AJ students were doing CIP at ECP, VJ students were
carrying out their orientation at the same venue.
So yeah. If you know what i mean :D:D

Upon dismissal after the event, SERIO gave our OGLs a present each.
At that point of time, i really felt like bursting into tears man. SOMEHOW.
There was just some kind of *mystical* attachment already. Hence, the end of orientation felt quite saddening :/

WELL, i'm still really excited about all the upcoming events and things
we are about to experience, do and learn! :D:D

3. FIRST LECTURE! :D
It was CHEMISTRY!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D hahahahah!! One thing which i thought was
super cool and interesting -- We had to buy lecture notes ourselves from the
bookshop! :D It's probably going to be the same in every JC, but
i just find it COOL la okay. Independant learning, and we really have to take
great responsibility for our own duties, tasks and academic.
